about

I (Laurie Dapice) wrote the arrangement on this tune, with an Afro Latin Straight Ahead Jazz Style. I am improvising playing on an African Handmade drum box with 6 beautiful individual hand carved tongues that you play with a Mallet, that I discovered, was in the same key that I had decided to sing the song in, after trying different ways to do the song. I decided which instruments I thought would go nicely with these styles prior to recording while writing these arrangements. The Musicians really rose to the occasion and used some fantastic dynamics to create excitement in a lot of these recordings!
