After researching Gigi Gyrce and Jon Hendricks, I thought I would reinterpret his lyrics by accentuating the bluesy sound Jon Hendricks always sang with. He was such a bluesy singer so I wanted to sing that blue note! So I wrote it into the arrangement! By honoring that beautiful melody of Mr Gryce, yet softly embellishing it & making it my own? I thought I'd make Gigi Gyrce proud! After listening to so many different styles from other singers? I came up with my own interpretation that no one else had!
